THE EARLY DAYS
1836: Italia has yet to become and in the village of Valdagno in the Venetia region under Hapsburg rule the Lanificio Luigi Marzotto & Figli is founded.

THE 1900s
With Gaetano Marzotto Jr. at the helm of modern industrial culture which despite major economic crises and world wars grows ever stronger is forged.

EVOLUTION
During the post-war reconstruction years Valdagno develops into a modern factory town with a distinct and unmistakable architectonic imprint: along with production plants come homes, schools, social services and structures.

TRANSFORMATION
In 1972 Pietro Marzotto succeeds Gaetano at the head of the Group and implements an expansion and diversification strategy.
In the 1980s a revolutionary process involving acquisitions in Italy and abroad, internationalization, concentration in core businesses, identification in high-value brands is undertaken.
Thus the company takes on a whole new aspect.

2002 - Valentino S.p.A.

2005 - Separation of the textile and clothing production systems with the subsequent setting up of two separate companies, namely : Marzotto S.p.A. and Valentino Fashion Group.

Today a world leader of the textile/apparel industry, the Marzotto Group finds in innovation its strategic mission.
